Easy Programmable Block Construction
1 - Using Logic Gates
The electronic heart of a mechatronic design is usually the microcontroller. This is where we program which will present the outputs as a function of input sensors. However, there are cases where the number of functions is small and thus the microcontroller becomes a super-sized solution, which is not always accessible to the designer. For these cases, control units or simple programmable blocks can replace with advantage microcontrollers, using common components from low cost and easy to implement. It is these blocks that we address in this article.
